The Healing Power of Flowers

Thank you to all my good friends who have made meals, offered to cook, did my dishes, given rides to my son, sent cards,  phoned in, emailed, and sent flowers.  I really never knew how blessed I was.  I have been extremely touched by the support of my family and friends while recuperating here at home from surgery.  Hence, the healing power of flowers:  they really do make a person feel better.

Vintage Flag Pins

Happy 4th of July!  The first thing I do on special holidays is check out what the Google graphics are for the day.  I hope you are all enjoying this 4th with your family and friends.  This post is for my friend Kim who is also in search of vintage flag pins.  I’ll be wearing one of these today as we march in our local parade and looking forward to the cherry pie.
