I’m not the only collector in the family, but I am the keeper of the collections. The above items from Yale University span several generations of my husband’s family. The cup from Mory’s and the Saybrook College athletic charms are my husband’s. The Whiffenpoof sheet music and the Wedgwood plates were from my father-in-law’s era and finally, the book and charms from the 1900′s are from a great uncle and a great grandfather’s time spent at Yale. I had purchased the Bulldog pins at the Wheaton Flea Market in anticipation of our son’s admission as a 5th generation Yalie. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. Oh well. Now I collect Vanderbilt memorabilia and that’s just fine by him.
